Cecilia "Boom Boom" Barraza, fights from
112 -115 lbs, 5'1", and born on October 24, 1980. Cecilia was born
and raised in the United States, and fights out of Chicago, Illinois.
When Cecilia was in high school, she was a cheerleader, and cross country
competitor. Cecilia decided to box for weight loss/ and toning and
then fell in love with the sport. Cecelia ia under the tutelage of her
close friend and stablemate, "Fearless" Fernando Hernandez, who is
currently #12 by the IBF. He convinced Cecelia that she could do something
in boxing, so she began to compete in the amateur circuit. Cecelia
participated in the Chicago Golden Gloves with just a few fights where she
took "best boxer" award in the year 2002. Shortly after that she went up
until the semi-finals level at the Women's Golden Gloves National's
where she took the #8 amateur national ranking spot. Cecilia is a
well- schooled southpaw with an aggressive style & great defense. Trained/
