fight that was considered the "Fight of the Night." Final judges scoring was 40-36, 40-37 and 39-37. Also,
Shannon Birmingham stopped Emily Gosa, at 56 seconds of the
first round. (Gosa is the boxer who lost to Tonya Harding who went four
rounds with her).

Bridgett "Baby Doll" Riley won a six-round unanimous
decision over Angie
Bordelon, in a six-round Bantamweight bout. Riley knocked
Bordelon down twice in the second round, and the both went at it for six
rounds, entertaining the crowd and receiving a standing ovation after the
fight. Riley improved her record to 14-3, and Bordelon fell to
4-8.

Louisiana’s Angie Bordelon, won a four-round unanimous
decision over Irichelle Duran in a featherweight bout. News
sources reported that Duran was getting clipped with constant right
hands, and that in the second round, Duran was knocked down. Judges
scoring on this bout was 39-36. Bordelon improved her record to
3-6-0 (0 KO), and Duran is now 1-2-0 (1KO).
January 25, 2002 - Walter C. Young Pavilion, in
Pembroke Pines, Florida
Ada "The Ace" Velez, of Fort Lauderdale,120,
stopped Angie Bordelon, 120.5, when she knocked Bordelon to the
canvas twice, in the second round. The ref stopped the fight at 1:54 in the
second round. Velez is now 10-0-0 (5KO), and Bordelon dropped to
2-6-0.

against Angie Bordelon, 123, in a featherweight division.
In a One news source reported the following, "spirited, punch-throwing, six-round featherweight women's fight, Angie Bordelon of Harahan
came up on the short end of an unpopular split decision defeat to Rene Richardt of St. Louis."

decision against Angie Bordelon, 120. Final scoring was 38-38,
39-37, 39-37. Chantrand improved her record to 3-1-1 (2KO), and
Bordelon dropped to 2-4.
