Marianne Chubirka, 108,
by a 10-round unanimous decision and for the IFBA Junior
Flyweight title. Final judges scores were 99-93, 97-94, and 98-93.
Cho Rong Son, 103.5, won a
10-round unanimous decision over Melissa Shaffer,
102.5. Son won the vacant IFBA Minimumweight title. The judges scores
were 99-90, 99-90, and 97-92,
and Shin Hee Choi, 112, won the IFBA flyweight title over Jet
Izumi, 112, by 50 seconds in the fifth round by TKO.
Choi won the IFBA Flyweight title.
May 28, 2005 - at
the Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle, in Stuttgart, Germany, and promoted
by Universum Box Promotion
United States Alicia Ashley, 115 ¾, won a ten round split
decision and the GBU Bantamweight Championship over
Alesia Graf,
115 ¾. Final Scoring was 96-94, 96-95, and 94-96. The German judge
had Graf as the winner. According to WBAN’s correspondent, he said
that Ashley moved beautifully in the ring and made a very difficult
target for Graf. Graf kept coming forward and also managed to get
through with some telling punches. Ashley sent Graf to the floor in
the second round, but Graf bounced off the floor immediately and
didn’t seem to be hurt.
In a second women’s
championship bout, Silke Weickenmeier, 120, won the GBU Jr.
Featherweight Championship over Miki Kikukawa, 120 with a
10-round unanimous decision. Final judges scores were 98-92, 97-92,
and 96-94. In a third women’s match,
Julia Sahin, 110, won an
eight-round unanimous decision over Marianne Chubirka, 112 ½.
Judges scores were 79-75, 77-75, and 79-73.

Marianne Chubirka, 112, Florida, 3-1 (2KO) TKO1 Charimar
Caban, 109, of Puerto Rico, 1-3 (0KO). Also, Rosemary Greene,
192, of the Bahamas, making her pro debut, (192), won a
four-round unanimous decision over Hayde Nunez, 158, of Puerto Rico,
1-4. It is reported that these these were the first ever pro female
boxing matches in the Bahamas and the first pro show held there in three
years. The show was promoted by Bahamian Son's Promotions and the Bahamas
own Sherman Williams captured the vacant WBA Fededcaribe Heavyweight title
by stopping Miguel Ortero of Puerto Rico in the fourth.

In the biggest upset of the night, Sunshine Fettkether, 147, won a
10-round unanimous decision over veteran Mitzi Jeter, 144 ¾ in a
WIBC Welterweight Championship title bout. In addition, in another
10-round super-middleweight WIBC championship bout between
Ann
"Brown Sugar" Wolfe, 166 ½, vs.
Marsha Valley,
168,---a rematch, Wolfe stopped Valley in the 10th round with a
TKO. On the undercard. Marianne Chubirka, 113, won a
four-round unanimous decision over Gracie Roca, 112; Impressive
Amateur turned pro on this night Yvonne Reis,154, won her first
professional bout against Bonnie Mann, 146,with a four-round
unanimous decision; and lastly, Lisa Brown, 121 ½, won a six-round
unanimous decision over Karen Martin, 121, who is presently
fighting out of the U.K.
There was one exhibition tonight between
Melissa DelValle
(Salamone) "Honeygirl", and Michelle Linden.
