January 17, 2003 Palace Indian Gaming Center, Lemoore, California

In front of a packed house of 1,500 boxing fans, with standing room only, Jenifer Alcorn, 133 , won a very close 10-round split decision over Jessica Rakoczy, 134 , for the 135-lb lightweight IWBF World Title. Craig Ogawa who was ringside at the event reported to WBAN that Alcorn had received a cut on her forehead, from an apparent accidental headbutt, and had a nose bleed early in the rounds. There were no knockdowns, but the fight was "tremendous".
