Laura Kielczewski, 128,  New York, New York, stopped easy prey Ashtabula, Ohio boxer Christina Paulus, 127 lbs, at 1:40 seconds of the first round by TKO.  Kielczewski moved to 3-0.

July 1997: Melissa Salamone (Del Valle)  got just what she wanted at the inaugural USA Boxing Women's National Championships.  Salamone, from Miami, earned the 132-pound champion ship with a 5-0 decision over Laura Kielczewski at the Bell Auditorium.
