Franchesca Alcanter won a controversial four-round
majority decision over Mercedes Mercury. According to
WBAN's insider Franchesca got off to a slow start and was not how to
tackle her first southpaw. Mercedes came out ready to fight throwing only
1-2 combinations. Alcanter was the aggressor throwing to the body but not
able to work her jab well but connecting with hard straight rights left
hooks and over hand rights.
