Annie Middleton, 5'2", 122 lbs., born
September 14, 1976, first began in Martial Arts at the age of 10 years
old. When Annie turned 17 years old, she began training at the Flores
Bros. Karate Studio with Refugio Flores. Refugio was a past
professional kickboxer in the early 1980's. Annie started boxing at 19,
and loved the challenging workouts. She trained for two years before
trying a few amateur fights in 1998.

At the Scottish Rite Center, in San Diego, California, and promoted
by Worldwide Boxing Promotions, Mary Lehman, 38, won a
four-round majority decision over Annalisa Middleton of
Oxnard. The San Diego-Union Tribune reported that after the fight,
Lehman announced, "I’m a fighter. I’ve always been a
fighter, but I never had an opportunity to be my true self."
WBAN congratulates Lehman for her first win. Lehman has worked very
hard to get to the point of turning pro. She has been boxing for
three years, while being a practicing Civil Attorney, and wife and
mother of two twin girls.

Melinda Cooper won her first professional bout by a four-round
unanimous decision over Annie Middleton. Cooper is now 1-0-0
(0KO) and Middleton fell to 0-3-0. Melinda made a "History First"
in the state of Nevada when she became
the youngest female boxer to get
granted a professional boxing license in that state.
December 1, 2001 - Stardust Hotel, Las
Vegas, Nevada
Las Vegan Dawn Reynolds pulled off her
second win as a professional, when she defeated Annie Middleton that
has yet to yield her a win as a pro boxer. In the first round, both boxers
were feeling each other out. Reynolds lost her mouth piece during this
four-rounder; there were no knockdowns, and the scorecards were all
unanimous for Dawn Reynolds. 37-39, 37-39, 36-40. Reynolds now 2-0-0 (0KO),
and Middleton dropped to 0-2-0.

California
Claudia Valenzuela from Oxnard, California KO2 0:08 Gail Muzzey
from Newhall, California in a middleweight matchup. Valenzuela and
Muzzey spent the first round feeling each other out, but in the second
round, Valenzuela clipped Muzzey right on at the beginning of the second
round and it was all over. Muzzey laid on the canvass for several
minutes. Valenzuela was making her pro
debut---what a way to begin her
professional boxing career! Valenzuela is now 1-0-0
(1KO), and Muzzey fell
to 2-1 (2KO). Also Reiko Muruyama of Tokya, Japan won a four-rounder
by a unanimous decision against Annalisa Middleton of Oxnard,
CA, in a bantamweight division. Final scoring was 39-37, 39-37, and
40-36. Muruyama improved her record to 1-1, and Middleton was making
her pro debut..
