November 7, 2002 - Chase Towers, Dallas, Texas
Michele Nielsen, Houston, Texas won a four-round unanimous decision over long time veteran Shakurah Witherspoon, Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Nielsen improved her record to 7-3-1 (2KO), and Witherspoon makes history for having the most losses in women's boxing with a 9-31-1 (4KO).

August 24, 2002 - Atlanta City Fight Report
At the Resorts Hotel and Casino, in Atlantic City, Isra Girgrah,  won the WIBF Jr. Lightweight title against Texas Michelle Nielsen. Thomas Ryan of The Press of Atlantic City said, "Michelle Nielsen won some respect Saturday. Isra Girgrah won yet another title. Girgrah earned a 10-round unanimous decision over Nielsen to win the vacant WIBF junior lightweight title in the Superstar Theater at Resorts Atlantic City. Girgrah already owned the IBF, UBA and IWBF world titles.Girgrah, of Washington, D.C., improved to 21-3-2 (9KO) with the 98-92, 98-93, 97-93 decision. The Press scored the fight 96-94 for Girgrah.'

At the Waco Convention Center, with a near full capacity of the arena, RPM Boxing put on their second All-women's boxing card, called the "Texas Shootout II."  The only words to describe this nights action was "What a card!"  
FIRST FIGHT OF THE NIGHT - Sheri "Lil Doc" Duncan, 170 1/2,  0-1-0 vs. Pro Debuter Penny Hood, 168, Duncan TKO2 Hood.  SECOND FIGHT OF THE NIGHT - Yolanda Gonzalez, 112 3/4 vs. Delia "Chiquita" Gonzalez, 111 3/4, Delia Gonzalez won by a six- round unanimous decision;  THIRD FIGHT OF THE NIGHT -Melissa "Honey Girl" Delvalle (Salamone), 120 3/4, vs. Ada "The Ace" Velez, 121 1/2, Delvalle won by a unanimous decision and won the 122 lb. World WIBA Title; FOURTH FIGHT OF THE NIGHT -  Sumya "Island Girl" Anani, 139 3/4,  vs. Jane "Gypsy" Couch, 138 1/2, WIBA Junior Welterweight World Championship Anani won by TKO4 0:51 seconds; FIFTH FIGHT OF THE NIGHT -  Ann "Brown Sugar" Wolfe, 162,  vs. Marsha Valley, 167 3/4, 10-round Super-Middleweight IFBA World Title (168-lb) Wolfe won by TKO6; SIXTH FIGHT OF THE NIGHT-   Karen "Thriller" Martin, 125 lbs.  vs. Patricia Acosta, 126 3/4, Scheduled for a 126-lb Six Rounder Martin KO2 Acosta; SEVENTH AND LAST FIGHT OF THE NIGHT -  Kelsey Jeffries vs. Michele Nielsen, Eight-round WIBA Intercontinental Junior Lightweight Title Jeffries won by a unanimous decision.
