In the main event, Martha "Shadow" Salazar, 229, of
the United States won by a ninth round TKO, over
Georgetown's Pamela London, 210. The two were
fighting for the vacant WIBF heavyweight title. Card
was promoted by Holland Entertainment Promotion.
According to news sources, London took a "battering" before
her home town crowd, which included in attendance Guyana's
President Bharat Jagdeo. The ref intervened and stopped the
fight when London was absorbing head and body shots.

In the heavyweight division, Marsha Valley, 183.5,
won a split decision over Martha Salazar, San
Francisco. Valley improved her record to 10-8-4 (4KO). Salazar
is now 6-3-0 (1KO). In a second women's match,
Claudia Valenciana, 151, now 7-1-0 (4KO) Oxnard,
California, TKO2 Melissa Rodriguez, 146.

after she defeated Martha Salazar, 234 lbs., with a unanimous
decision in a 10-round
title defense. Final scoring was 99-91, 97-93, and 98-92. On the undercard
of the mainliner of the Ward/Salazar bout, Kelli Cofer and Lisa
Brown had a six-round majority draw. The final scoring of that
bout was 58-56 for Brown, 58-56 for Cofer, and 57-57 for a draw.

Heavyweights Martha Salazar (7-1-243lbs) again used her extreme
power to defeat a game Carley Pesente (3-6-1-220lbs) before a small
crowd of 300 in Vallejo, CA. Both sides came out throwing thunderous
shots and it looked like a rerun of their first two fights as the two
fighters fought toe to toe for most of the first round. In the second
Pesente cornered Salazar and appeared to be making a spirited effort to
finish off Martha when something clicked and Salazar rattled off at least
eight straight rights to Pesente's head. Pesente was hurt , but finished
out the round. Returning to her corner her managers realized that it was
not her night and threw in the towel.
March 1, 2003 - Las Vegas, Nevada

November 16, 2002 - Pacific Sports Center,
Mare Island in Vallejo, California
In the battle of the heavyweights, Martha Salazar kept her
undefeated record, at now 5-0-0, when she defeated tough-hitting boxer Kisha
Snow. now 6-2-0 (3KO), in a four-round unanimous decision. 6
rounds of nonstop action. WBAN's Inside reporter, said that Martha and
Kisha had the crowd standing and cheering in the first round. Kisha
had come out swinging and giving it everything she had, but Martha
answered back with the same---Body shots, headshots, uppercuts and combos.
In the second, round, Kisha came out with the same game plan. And
Martha answered back. From the 3rd round on Martha was in complete
domination of the fight. In the fifth round, Martha had Kisha up against
the rope and Kisha was hurt. The referee asked Kisha if she wanted to keep
going and Kisha said that she did. In the 6th round, both Martha and Kisha
gave their all, and were non-stop throwing a barrage of
combinations. At the end of the fight, the crowd, hailed and
applauded and it was the best fight of the night. WBAN's Insider
said, "Martha Salazar is one of the most humble, and Snow is one of
the nicest boxers. They are great role models and great
representation of women's boxers. Too bad this fight was not
televised."

Dunn, Ohio, (0-1-0). Dunn comes from the amateurs according to
her team and has a 8-0 amateur record. Dunn is 5’8" and
fights at 210 lbs.
June 22, 2002 - Emerald Queen
Casino, Tacoma, Washington
Heavyweights Martha Salazar, 240 lbs., won a four-round
unanimous decision over Carley Pesente, 215. WBAN's
Inside reporter said, "Salazar controlled the fight from the
start with a strong overhand right that kept Pesente off balance.
Pesente tried to come back in the later rounds, but was hard pressed
to overcome the younger Salazar's power. Both sides have
agreed to a rematch in August." Salazar improved
her record to 2-0-0, and Pesente is now to 3-3-0 (3KO).
Final Judges scoring was 40-36, 40-36, and 39-37.
March
25, 2001 Hayward, California
Gina "Boom Boom" Guidi, 153, defeated Kelly Whaley at the Centennial Hall in Hayward, California. Guidi delivered a flurry of punches towards the end of the sixth and last round, resulting in the fight being stopped by the referee and declared a TKO. Guidi's record now improves to 15-1-1, with 6 knockouts.
Also, Martha Salazar 237 lbs. from South San Francisco, California defeated
Denise Callahan 278 lbs., North Carolina by unanimous decision in a four round
bout. Both women were making their pro debuts.
